Bhakti · com.bhaktiplatform.app · Singdm — effective 7 September 2026
Bhakti is a Hindu almanac app: a daily Panchang, Suprabhat morning images to share, a personal Jyotish reading, and Acharya — an AI jyotishi you can put a question to, grounded in your own birth chart. No account or login is required. This policy explains what the app handles and why.
What stays on your device
- Birth details (date, time, and place) you enter for a Jyotish reading are stored only on your device. You can edit or delete them at any time. They are never sold and never used to identify you.
- Your consultation with the Acharya is stored only on your device. We hold no session and keep no transcript; clearing the app clears the conversation.
- Reminder settings and your saved language are stored on your device.
What is sent, and to whom
- Panchang & Suprabhat content is fetched from our servers using only the date and, where relevant, a location — no personal identity is required.
- Jyotish readings and Acharya consultations: your birth date, time and place are sent to our server, which computes the chart and then discards them — they are not written to any database and not written to any log. Only the computed chart facts (such as your lagna, Moon sign, nakshatra, dasha and the day's planetary context), your question, the last few turns of the conversation and your chosen language go on to an AI text provider (OpenRouter / Google Gemini). Your raw birth date, clock time, place name and coordinates are never sent to that provider. Your name is never sent, and there is no field for one.
- Advertising: the app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may use a device advertising identifier (AD_ID) to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit this identifier in your Android settings.
- Measurement: anonymous usage events — such as opening the app, sharing a Suprabhat image, viewing a reading, or finishing a rewarded ad — are sent to Meta (Facebook) so we can measure how the app is used. They are keyed only to a hashed form of the app's random install identifier; no birth details, no name, and no clock time or coordinates are included.
- Reporting a reply: if you flag an Acharya reply as inappropriate, the flagged text, your chosen reason and any note you add are sent to our server so we can review it. Your birth details are never included.
- Purchases: Acharya consultations are free three a day after a rewarded ad; optional credit packs and a monthly pass are sold through Google Play Billing. We record the Play purchase token and what it granted so a purchase is honoured once and can be restored. No payment card or billing address ever reaches us — Google handles payment.
- Install identifier: requests carry a random identifier this app generates for itself, used to count your free daily consultations and to hold what you have purchased. It is not a device identifier, it is not linked to any name, and it is erased when you uninstall or clear the app's data.
Notifications
Panchang and Jyotish reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device. Enabling them requests the standard notification permission; no personal data leaves the device to schedule them.
Third-party services
- Google Play services and Google AdMob (advertising)
- OpenRouter and Google Gemini (generating Jyotish reading and Acharya consultation text from chart facts)
- Google Play Billing (credit packs and the Acharya monthly pass)
- Meta (Facebook) (anonymous app-usage measurement)
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal data.
Children
Bhakti is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
- Edit or clear your birth details inside the app at any time.
- Turn reminders on or off in the app.
- Reset or limit the advertising identifier in Android settings.
- Clear a consultation from the Acharya screen at any time; it exists only on your device.
Entertainment note
Jyotish readings and Acharya consultations are written by an AI and are provided for self-reflection and cultural interest only. They are not a substitute for professional medical, financial, or legal advice.
